A) FIRST STAGE Tuesday to Friday - August 3 - 6 (9:00 am - Noon) Ages 8-12 years
This morning class will include various theatre games and activities as well as puppetry, costumes, storytelling, scriptwriting and tons of fun! Work with others to explore your creativity and express yourself! A great introduction to drama!
B) SECOND STAGE Tuesday to Friday - August 3 - 6 (12:30 pm - 3:30 pm) Ages 8-12 years
This afternoon class will further your knowledge of theatre and give you the opportunity to apply what you have learned thus far. In this fun filled class, you will be able to show off your new skills of movement, comedy, musical theatre and storytelling. There will be a focus on group work and collaboration as you begin to create your own theatre!
C) THIRD STAGE Tuesday to Friday - August 3 - 6 (9:00 am - 3:30 pm) Ages 13-18 years
Young actors will learn how to make a performance active and exciting through clear, creative choices about character and scene. Topics covered will include acting technique, improvisation, character development, scene work, and much more!
Monday to Friday – August 9 - 20, with performances Friday August 20 & Saturday August 21 (9:30am – 3:30pm) Ages 8-18
This two week class will prepare you for your own production! More theatre techniques and topics will be discussed on the way to a finished product. Friends and family are more than welcome to come and celebrate with you and your new friends. A final performance will be held at the end of the class that will include tons of your great ideas!
*Please Note: Students must have previous Stage One (Spring or Summer) experience for acceptance into the Performance Class.
We are now offering support in the form of a bursary through the Henry Vandenberghe Memorial Fund. One bursary will be awarded to a deserving student on the basis of financial need and community involvement in drama/speech arts. Click Here to download an application form.
