On Monday, June 21, 2010, Vancouver held their 28th Annual Jessie Richardson Awards. The event was held at the Commodore Ballroom and the theme was “Own the Stage.” This awards ceremony honours Vancouver’s vibrant theatre community and its artistic achievements. Jessie Richardson was an extraordinary individual whose supportive involvement in Vancouver theatre spanned over four decades. Her contributions to the growth and vitality of Vancouver's theatre scene were the foundation on which their current thriving theatre community was built.
