Joint Endowment Fundraising Campaign
Creating Tomorrow is a joint endowment fundraising campaign being spearheaded by the Kamloops Foundation on behalf of the Kamloops Art Gallery, Kamloops Symphony and Western Canada Theatre. Every dollar donated to the campaign will be equally matched by a special fund set up by the BC Government.
In a spirit of cooperation, the Kamloops Foundation has joined forces with these three major non-profit arts and culture organizations in Kamloops to assist them in building their respective permanent endowment funds through a unique matching grant program. Thanks to a new initiative of the BC Government, these three groups have an opportunity to increase their endowment funds through the BC Arts Renaissance Fund, an endowment and development fund established by a grant of $25 million from the Province of British Columbia to support arts and culture organizations across British Columbia. The BC Arts Renaissance Fund’s endowment program will assist them by matching, dollar for dollar, all donations made to their permanent endowment funds over the next two years (2006 and 2007). The goal for 2006 is to raise $60,000.
The intent of the program is to help organizations improve their long-term financial sustainability. Income generated from the capital of the endowment funds will provide annual revenues to ensure long-term financial stability and provide greater capacity for the realization of artistic and cultural mandates.
These permanent endowments ensure that your contribution will continue to provide support for the exhibitions, performances, education programs and other community services of the Kamloops Art Gallery, Kamlooops Symphony and Western Canada Theatre for generations to come.
Your donation to the Creating Tomorrow endowment fundraising campaign can be made payable to: Kamloops Foundation PO Box 15 Kamloops, BC V2C 5K3
The Kamloops Foundation is the legal trustee for the endowment funds. Appropriate tax receipts for donated gifts will be issued.
